Leaving

Departures can take their toll on a little boy who is prone to nostalgia and being overcome with sentiment. Relationships are obviously fluid and this fact has been made quite apparent to me as a myriad of people who i hold dear in my life have departed for far off realms of the universe, while others are preparing to go on an extended fang out of my direct vicinity. Currently i am sitting in a room in Newcastle with one of these little fellas watching some one tree hill while he catches up on some much needed shut eye after a raging sesh last night. While i have been able to hold myself together pretty well up to this point the finality of these departures and the tight hold that coincidence and fate has over our lives was made strikingly clear to me as feeling a little forlorn at not having an opportunity to say farewell to my closest Canadian mate as i was riding the train to Newcastle and he was taking to the skies and floating out of my life later that day. As a cute little coincidence would have it as i was cursing my luck at missing my connecting train and a resultant one hour wait of death when out of the corner of my eye was the man in question, who was tying up some loose ends in Sydney. So because life is such a weird little fella we had one last massive bro sesh and were allowed to offer each other luck and prosperity, while also engaging in the kind of heart felt goodbye that would have been denied us if we were just being hellmen around other dudes. I guess this demonstrates the beauty that this world holds is that you never know who will come into your life and when your digging hanging out with someone it is crucial not to take this glorious times for granted. As the clouds of yet another negstorm gather in my life, treat yourself to a couple of out of control leaving/goodbye clips that will become the staple diet of my retinas for the next few days.
