The New Ball Battle

The cricketing pugilist and greatest test captain of all time, Steve Waugh, had the prescience to claim that the moments that passed during the first session of any monumental series lay the foundations for the next 5 tests and were the catalyst for the resulting vibes that would be thrown down for the duration of the contest.

Here's the first session of the last Ashes series played in England. Even though those pommy fags went on to lose this particular match, the way they made Australia lose their minds with aggressive and controlled pace bowling had the Aussies doing little wees in their pants each time they walked to the crease from that day forward.

Tune in to SBS at 7 30 or smash on ABC radio to here Roebuck, Maxwell, O'Keeffe and crew describe the action and throw around some of their much loved badinage. Lets hope the first session of this battle is just as entertaining and the Australians man the ramparts and are not on the receiving end of the carnage this time.
