Alistair Perry - Full Time Faux Mod

A wise man once said, "If you gaze at the shoe long enough, you will become the shoe". This man was correct. He was also in a Shoegaze band.

I do believe this sentence can draw some uncanny comparisons to Alistair Perry's current state of mind/fashion sense/musical tastes.

After gallivanting through Europe listening to nothing but 1970's krautrock influenced David Bowie, spending too much time watching Joy Division film clips and reading nothing but the works of Joseph Conrad and William S. Burroughs, Alistair returned a changed man.

Upon his arrival home to our shores, he was astonished to find his best friend had already thrown new attire on his back, placed new literature in front of his eyes and acquired a record collection so supreme even the most seasoned musical elitist would whimper with shame.

Alistair has now taken it upon himself to make it his duty to outnumber, outgun and outsmart his rival with new threads, new vinyl and new novels to become the hippest scenester the Illawarra has ever seen.

Hearts will broken, blood will be spilt but Alistair will do whatever it takes to impress the most elite socialites and con them into thinking he is leading the new wave of Wollongong fashion.

Attatched are two photographs of Alistair. The first is Alistair pre-transformation whilst the second is Alistair in the midst of his rebel phase channelling the late Ian Curtis in a Carnaby Street inspired get-up.
