Great Scott

So i have previously voiced my various man crushes on this site before and having seen Brand get involved in being the ultimate hellman on Thursday night you could not be faulted for assuming this post would pay homage to him. However this is not the case. While my previous posts have focused on actual dudes who I have become besotted with for a plethora of non sexual reasons, in this instance I am dedicating it to a fictional character. While many of my friends, particularly of those who house testosterone in abundance, often condemn me for my love of lame little teen dramsa, I frigging dig them for their babes, engrossing story line and their propensity for encouraging utter escapism. My current favourite is definitely One Tree Hill as it has babes and drama in abundance, while also incorporating some good old fashioned American High School sport in to the fabric of the show.

The rock ledge I dig in this show is probably pretty obvious as it comes in the form of the shows protagonist, Lucas Scott, played by teen heart throb Chad Michael Murray. A brooding teenage fella, who in between getting involved in the most babing babe faces at his school and smashing down buzzer beating jump shots for the Tree Hill Ravens, is an inspiring writer and constantly is quoting famous writers or smashing out poignant and insightful silliloquise. Safe to say I am fully digging it, as much as babes around the globe are digging him.

Here are a few glorious examples.

Lucas: Most of our lives are a series of images, they pass us by like towns on a highway. But sometimes a moment stuns us as it happens and we know that this instant is more than a fleeting image. We know that this moment, every part of it, will live on forever.

Lucas: (voice over) Robert Louis Stevenson once said, "You cannot run away from a weakness; you must sometimes fight it out or perish. And if that be so, why not now, and where you stand?

Lucas Scott (Overvoice): "Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote: 'All are architects of fate... living in these walls of time.'" "Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote: 'All are architects of fate... so look not mournfully into the past. It comes not back again.'"

Lucas: (voiceover) Does this darkness have a name? This cruelty, this hatred. How did it find us? Did it steal into our lives or did we seek it out and embrace it? What happened to us? That we now send our children out into the world like we send young men to war, hoping for their safe return but knowing that some will be lost along the way. When did we lose our way? Consumed by the shadows, swallowed whole by the darkness. Does this darkness have a name? Is it your name?

Lucas: There comes a time when every life goes off course. In this desperate moment you must choose your direction. Will you fight to stay on the path while others tell you who you are? Or will you label yourself? Will you be honored by your choice? Or will you embrace your new path? Each morning you choose to move forward or to simply give up.

What a man. They were all respectfully shralped from here http://www.classictvquotes.com/quotes/characters/lucas-scott you wish to get your own eye balls on some more.
