Inspired by The Who's 6th studio album of the same name and the subversive culture of Southern England in the late 1960's Quadrophenia is provides a fascinating insight into the life of Mod wanna be Jimmy Cooper (funny how that is the name of Marrissa Coopers Dad on the oc, what a babe). Jimmy lives the life of working his tits off to live the mod life, keeping his suits fitting good, his mod babes one their toes and his scooter running smoothly. The film focuses on some pretty poignant issues for any mods, like barring your old school mate you haven't seen in ages cos hes a rocker, trying to make your square parents understand your attire on a SSaturday evening and how to get in the middle of a mod vs rocker riot. Another focal point of the plot is Jimmys affection for his hero, mod god Ace Face. He worships this dude until he finds out he is just a lowly bellboy working for the man and in some sort of retaliation against the scene he loves he steals Ace Faces' scooter and Ghosties it into the sea.
