Andrew McMahon

Saturday night was pumping pretty hard. Andrew McMahon, lead singer or Something Corporate and Jacks Mannequin, and shameless purveyor of teenage angst was shralping a solo acoustic set at the Metro in Sydney. The whole night was a strange paradox which included the ethereal piano driven melodies of pop punk at its finest and James Dixon and Jock Dobinson unleashing their profanity riddled, demented father son act on the busy streets of our nations largest city.

If you throw in the fact that the layout of the venue was evoking nostalgic comparisons Orange Counties own "Bait Shop" it indeed had the recipe for a glorious night. I will not bore you with the details as I am sure they will be captured far more eloquently on Dixons thelifeofapone.blogspot.com blog, so check that out for an in depth summary. Highlights were any Something corporate songs.

J Dob and Dickos incessant heckling that saw Dicko be confronted by a female member of the crowd, which eventually made him crumble. Dixon asking 39938392020 male members of the crowd to bend down so a diminutive female at the back of the audience could see. Being abandoned by the dick Dob combo so they could fang off to the casino. Dobbo going skits and yelling at a security guard asking if he could celebrate his pokey win. Reports of Dob, Holsmsey and Dick waving down cabs with their doodles. Lost and moinished in the city only to find the most sea crows of all back streets, which Dobbos small car could barely fit down, that delivered us to glory.

This song was incredible in the Bait Shop-esque settings.
